BREAST CANCER AWARENESS EVENTS

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the annual global campaign to increase awareness of the disease. This campaign is an important fixed event in the Oxford Partnership Female Colleges events calendar, with activities taking place in October in all our colleges.

All our campuses held events where our students delivered wonderful presentations in front of invited guests, other students and the staff. Their presentations included how life style helps prevention, explaining how important it is to drink lots of water, eat healthy and ensure our bodies get enough sleep.

We were honoured to have visiting lectures from doctors and health specialists. Their aim was to provide awareness and information on health care to our students focusing on prevention, diagnosis and management of this deadly disease. The information was extremely well received with students really engaged and asking a variety of questions.

All visitors gave excellent feedback congratulating our students on their hard work and professionalism. We would like to extend a big well done to all our students involved in the event and to all staff for their hard work to help make these annual events a success.

A special appreciation and thanks to all the doctors and health care specialists that took time out of their busy schedules to increase our student’s awareness of breast cancer.
